Black-and-white silver gelatin photographic print of ceramist Abbas M. Ahuwan hand building a pot. A ceramics instructor for the 1974 annual summer session at Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, Dr. Ahuwan stands on the left, bent over to work on the pot which sits on something, likely a bucket, slightly off the ground. He wears a light color shirt and dark color overalls. The pot is upside down, with Dr. Ahuwan working on the outside of the pot. The legs of other campers, who are sitting on an elevated surface, are seen in the background. There are no inscriptions on the front or back of the photograph.
