Digital image scanned from a 35mm black and white negative of jeweler Art Smith giving a lecture at the Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, who was a jewelry instructor for the school's 1974 annual summer session. Smith, at the center, stands behind a table with both hands on the table as he leans forward and looks ahead. He wears a patterned shirt with light color pants and wears glasses. On the table is a patterned cloth or quilt. People sit in chairs placed against the wall and the right and surrounding the table on the right. There are no inscriptions on the front or back of the photograph.
