This is the Lesser Chrysoprase ring designed and created by jeweler Art Smith. The ring has split sterling silver band and a large, green chrysoprase cabochon in the center. The chrysoprase stone is smoothly polished into an oval shape and set into a silver bezel. The band is formed of two separate rings that are soldered together to form a wide, flat base and then split at the sides and connecting with the cabochon on either side of the bezel backing. The chrysoprase stone is smoothly polished into an oval shape. The interior of the band is patinated black and the exterior of the band is patinated black only under the stone. The ring has one hallmark on the inside of the base, Smith’s signature [Art Smith].
