Source catalog description

This description refers to material held by Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture. Visual details below describe the original material.

A gelatin silver print depicting two individuals in two rooms of a house. On the right side is a young woman, the photographer LaToya Ruby Frazier, sitting on a bed and leaning against the wall. She is in profile to the viewer, wearing a white tank and plaid shorts. Her hands are resting in her lap and she gazes straight ahead. There is a baby doll underneath the bed where she is sitting, and a white towel hangs from the doorknob of the open door next to her. On the other side of the wall and the image is the figure of a man, "Mr. Art." His back is to the viewer as he leans on his left elbow atop a bed with floral-patterned bedding. He wears a black tank top with white text graphic.
