A black-and-white photograph of Paquito D’Rivera, by Platon. D’Rivera is depicted seated with his proper left ankle cross over his proper right knee. His proper left elbow is resting on the inside of his proper left thigh and he is resting the side of his face on the knuckles of his hand wrapped around the mouthpiece of a clarinet. His proper right hand is wrapped around the base of the clarinet which is resting in his lap. He has a serious expression on his face and he is looking slightly upwards into the distance.
