A digital, black-and-white image of Wakiesha Wilson’s mother, Lisa Hines, participating in a Black Lives Matter - Los Angeles protest against District Attorney Jackie Lacey in Downtown Los Angeles, California. The image was taken by Tommy Oliver during the protests that followed the death of George Floyd. The close-up of Hines depicts her right of center. She is shown from the chest up, in three-quarters pose, with her body turned slightly towards the left edge of the image. She is wearing a white surgical mask and is cupping her proper right hand over her mask-covered nose and mouth. Her chin is tilted downwards, her eyes are closed, and she has a distressed expression on her face. Her braided hair is pulled back and she is wearing a wide headband over her forehead.
