A red cap with a self-fabric bow designed by Patrick Kelly for his Fall/Winter 1989 collection. The hat is made of napped red synthetic and has a flat short crown. A self-fabric band wraps around the side of the crown and ties at the front into an askew bow offset to the proper left side. The band is attached to the side of the crown with tacking stitches. The cap has a short, rounded bill. The hat's interior is stiffened with synthetic interfacing. The base of the crown is folded and hand sewn to the interior. A black synthetic petersham ribbon is machine sewn to the base of the crown at the interior. A woven fabric label is sewn to the center back interior of the hat along the petersham band. The label reads [jean barthet / MADE IN FRANCE / PARIS].
