An abstract work in oil paint and pigment on a piece of bark cloth. The work consists of bold, black lines in curvilinear and geometric shapes with accents in white, blue, and red against a dark background. The dark grey background at the top of the painting transitions into a light grey in the center, and then a deep brown color at the bottom. In the bottom half of the painting are several abstract figures in blue, yellow, and red. There are several areas at the top center and bottom right with patterns of white dots on black shapes. Also repeated throughout are short, white linear markings and solid black orbs with an outer black ring. The bark cloth has uneven edges and lines of stitches throughout. The painting is signed and dated in black pigment in the lower left: [D. Simmons / 2011].
