This olive green U.S. Army class A uniform cap was worn by Private Marvin E. Parker. The cap is made from green wool with a brown leather brim. The band is faced in wide green woven tape with a second under layer made from heavy brown canvas. The interior crown is lined with clear plastic for weather proofing, with a band of brown leather lining the interior hat band. There is a dark brown leather chin strap that attaches around a metal pin on each side of the cap between the outer green and inner brown bands. Illegible text is stamped in black on the interior leather band. A metal U.S. Army Symbol pin (b) with a screw back is attached at the center front of the cap.
