Source catalog description

This description refers to material held by Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture. Visual details below describe the original material.

A small, intact plow with complete share, moldboard, beam, clevis, and handles. The iron plow has wood handles and an attachment for animal labor. The wood has iron oxide red paint. The iron elements are heavily rusted with some soiling, and the wood handles are likely worn from a combination of human contact and exposure to the environment.
