Source catalog description

This description refers to material held by Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture. Visual details below describe the original material.

A color photograph of an abstracted image. Bands of yellow and white light radiate outward from the center of the photograph like flickering flames, streaking over a dark-colored background. The effect creates an abstracted image in the center of the photograph that appears similar to a skull with horns. The artist digitally mirrored the photograph in a similar manner to a Rorschach test. Below the image, the artist has hand-written in black ink the edition number at left, the photograph title in the middle, and his signature and date on the right.
