Captured during the March Against Fear in Canton, Mississippi, this black-and-white photograph depicts marchers running out of a tent after it has been attacked with tear gas by Mississippi state troopers. Many people are falling to the ground or trying to flee as clouds of the gas rise around them and from beneath the tent canopy. A yellow paper with a typed description of the event is attached to the bottom of the photograph.
