Source catalog description
This description refers to material held by Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture. Visual details below describe the original material.
A pair of beige pumps with rhinestones. The outer body of the shoe is made from one panel of beige plain woven synthetic fabric, sewn to itself at the center back outer heel. They feature a rounded square toe and the binding along the top line of the shoe, which leads to a cut out design at the toe vamp. Glass rhinestones are adhered along the edge of the vamp cut out design. The interior base of the shoe is made from beige suede with a light gray vinyl sole adhered on top. The gray vinyl takes up about two thirds of the front of the shoe. [ SAKS – FIFTH AVENUE / FENTON LAST] is stamped onto the sole with gold ink. There are side panels - one panel per side of the shoe, that each have perforated holes for venting.
