Source catalog description
This description refers to material held by Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture. Visual details below describe the original material.
A left gold heeled sandal with an ankle strap and an open toe. There are two gold straps that encircle both the ankle and the heel made from synthetic leather. The strap secures with a gold metal prong-less buckle on the proper left side. A band of gold synthetic metallic fabric goes over the toe bed. It’s edged with the same gold synthetic leather used for the straps and tapers slightly inward at the middle. The outer sole is made from one panel of leather and has a high heel with a black rubber heel cap. At the outer ball of the foot is a partially torn off white sticker that reads [HR2 / 00] in black handwriting. An additional white sticker at the arch reads [#155 / 6B] also in black handwriting.
