The brim’s edge folds over to encase metal wire, which has been sewn into place. Pinned to the base of the hat, at the center back with metal straight pins is a second straw hat with a cream painted crown and a 1” wide brim covered with red synthetic twill material. There’s also a metal wire in the second hat’s brim’s edge. The crown of the second hat is covered in two 1” wide synthetic twill hat bands. The top hatband is gray with a 3.5” wide navy bow and the second hat band is navy blue with a gray 3.5” wide bow. Both bows are double looped with a center knot, and they are sewn into place at the center front.
