Source catalog description
This description refers to material held by Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture. Visual details below describe the original material.
A pair of red pumps with bow decoration. The outside of the shoe is composed of three panels of red faux leather – one for the toe box and one for each side. There is a 3.5” long double looped bow decoration at the toe made from the same red faux leather material. At the center of the bow, around the bow knot, is a metal, oval faux buckle that’s molded to resemble rhinestones. The inside of the shoe is fully lined with synthetic faille and the counter is lined with synthetic suede. Red synthetic knit fabric binds the topline and the insole is made from a single panel of blush pink faux leather. It’s most likely glued into place. The insole reads [CUSHIONED / STYLED BY / ENNA JETTICKS / CUSHIONED HEEL] stamped in green ink. One panel of leather makes the outer sole.
